North Coast Radiology Group EA Update

Last week, your HSU negotiating team met with the company before the Fair Work Commission to try and find a resolution to outstanding issues before we proceed with protected industrial action.

We're pleased to report that QScan have agreed to reinstate clauses concerning maternity leave in the Enterprise Agreement.

There has been some slight movement on the composition of the wages offer, with the company tabling the following:

  • 5% bonus (based on Ordinary Time Earnings) in lieu of wage increase for 2022
  • 5% wage increase from 1 July 2023
  • 3% or CPI up to 5% from 1 July 2024 and 1 July 2025.

While the 5% bonus for 2022 is attractive, no material increase to base wages in 2022 means your wages would still fall behind the rest of the industry. Nor would this address the issues in attracting and retaining staff.

Based on a comparison completed by your colleagues, this offer would leave you $660-$1900 WORSE OFF over the life of the agreement. For the company to table a worse offer than you've already refused is an insult.

We are holding an HSU members’ meeting this Wednesday at 6pm to discuss the wages offer and next steps. There will be a vote, so it is important to attend and have your say. You can dial in to the meeting here: https://hsu-asn-au.zoom.us/j/82720618686
