Dear member,

Yesterday at 1100, ADHSU members who are trainees and interns with NSWA met via a Zoom, spearheaded by senior ADHSU delegates.

It was an opportunity for all members to discuss both PETP and P1T issues, hear about the broader Priority 1 Campaign and connect with more senior delegates and activists.

As the two groups, P1Ts and PETPs, have different issues and fights, some clear and separate goals came out of the meeting.

P1Ts:

It was clear from discussions there are many issues resulting from the quality of training, which may be felt by PETPs. These include fatigued mentors, inappropriate amounts of work at quiet stations and being used as “roster fodder”.

To build up a more complete picture, members should email questions and ideas to include in a survey to go out next week.

The aim of this survey will be to identify key issues for P1T members to raise collectively. Send issues and question ideas to [E-Mail not displayed] with ‘P1T Survey Questions’ in the subject line. Get ideas in by EOD Friday, 1 December.

PETPs:

Building on the hard work of activists and delegates within the cohort, PETP members will meet next week on Monday, 4 December at 1000 via Zoom to discuss ongoing issues with securing long overdue timelines and details from NSWA. The Zoom link to be sent on the day.

Members need to continue to engage and fight for the issues that affect them personally and know that they are always stronger together!
