Pay claim endorsed - bargaining begins

With over 1500 paramedics pledging to refuse AHPRA re-registration, ADHSU members have told the Government what it will take to lift the registration boycott.

At a stop work meeting yesterday, members voted in favour of an interim measure to bring NSWA classifications into parity with QAS base pay at the very least to lift the looming boycott action.

With professional recognition and professional rates of pay at the core of the claim, members know that parity with Queensland is merely a stop gap measure to avoid the nuclear option – a registration boycott.

This endorsed pay claim has been communicated to the Health Secretary and we expect a bargaining period to commence shortly. HSU members have endorsed the creation of a bargaining committee comprised of delegates to fight for this endorsed claim. The committee is only authorised to negotiate for the endorsed claim (and nothing less) and will report back regularly to the ADHSU membership.

The registration boycott has well and truly captured the attention of the Government, the media, and the public. The Premier is feeling the heat. You can add your name to the pledge here.
