The HSU has received correspondence from South Eastern Sydney Local Health District regarding the Child, Adolescent and Youth Mental Health Services (CAYMHS) restructure proposal.

Management have acknowledged the original proposal needs to be reassessed considering the breadth of feedback HSU members have provided on the proposal. As such, the USCC meeting which was to be held on 19 May (i.e. tomorrow) will be rescheduled for mid-June, at which management will provide a modified proposal.

The HSU wishes to highlight members’ fantastic work over the previous month in making your voice heard on the concerning aspects of this proposal, resulting in this review. This level of engagement will be necessary moving forward, to ensure your union can respond to any new proposal in a manner which addresses the genuine concerns of members.
