The HSU’s endorsement survey is now closed and members have spoken! The majority endorsed the proposed HSU Log of Claims, which you can view HERE

Based on members’ suggestions, the committee has made these additions:

• an infectious control allowance, which should be applicable to cleaning infectious areas or assisting infectious patients.
  
  
• Clarified the claim for annual increases to rates of pay, at 6.5% each year, for the duration of the next agreement.

Your HSU bargaining committee will now seek responses to these claims from St John of God.

It’s important to remember, in negotiations, we win only what we’re organised to win! To win a new allowance for infectious control, or pay rises as significant as 6.5%, we need to keep empowering more people to join the union and get more involved in this process.
