NNSWLHD: Proposed Food Services Changes, Tweed & Murwillumbah Hospitals

The HSU has received correspondence from HealthShare NSW about expected impacts on Food Services following the opening of the new Tweed Valley Hospital on 14 May.

HealthShare has advised that the increased number of beds, and additional resources required to maintain cleaning standards in the larger kitchen, will require additional FTE in Food Services.

However, they have also advised that NNSWLHD’s decision to close the Surgical Ward at Murwillumbah Hospital will likely prompt a decrease in FTE within Food Services at that facility.
