SNP Members Meeting this Monday

Firstly, I want to welcome all new members to the Health Services Union. Our union continues to grow in strength across Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology.

Yesterday the Fair Work Commission handed down its Annual Wage Review decision, increasing Award rates by 4.6% or $40 a week, whichever is the greater.

This is massive and will have an impact on the offer being made by SNP, as some of the rates will now fall below the Award.

It also should send SNP a clear message that their current offer just isn’t good enough. Cost of living pressures will only get worse before they get better, and the SNP offer will lock in real wage cuts.

To discuss the state of bargaining and the Annual Wage Review, a members’ meeting has been called:

Please send the details on to your colleagues who aren’t yet in the union but would be interested in coming along.

Finally, I want to acknowledge your workplace delegates who have been doing an incredible job in supporting members across a range of issues and in bargaining. If you are interested in getting more involved, contact your local HSU delegates or email your HSU Organiser Angela Brown via [E-Mail not displayed].
