This is what we’re fighting for at Warrigal!

HSU members at Warrigal have spoken loud and clear calling for a fair pay increase for all staff.

We are seeking a minimum 5% pay increase for all staff, to make sure that your wages keep pace with the rising cost of living.

Unfortunately, Warrigal’s current offer would see some staff receive a low pay increase that is below the inflation rate. That means that Warrigal’s wages aren’t keeping pace with current cost of living increases, such as higher prices to groceries, bills and petrol.

We must stand together to campaign for a fair wage increase everyone, not just the few.

HSU members are calling on management to:

  • Offer a fair pay increase to all staff that rewards the hard work that you do;
  • Commit to strategies to improve staffing levels and ensure that residents get the care they deserve;
  • Ensure all staff are not worse off, by protecting current entitlements including the best conditions of current enterprise agreements.
  • Introduce a new buddy shift allowance in the enterprise agreement, to recognise staff taking on additional mentoring responsibility.

Union members will be working hard to make positive gains to our working conditions and to ensure that our current entitlements are not lost.
