HSU members at Our Lady of China recently raised concerns some aged care workers had not received the full 15 per cent pay increase for direct care workers, won by HSU members in the first stage of our Aged Care Work Value Case.
Following representation by HSU members, Our Lady of China have acknowledged their error and have agreed to reclassify employees to L4 PCW G3 and increase the hourly rate from $29.76 to $30.11 in line with the Aged Care Modern Award.
Our Lady of China has committed to make the change to your hourly rate and has agreed staff will be back paid to the first full pay period on or after 30 June 2023.
The third stage of our Work Value Case concluded in the Fair Work Commission last week and we now await the Fair Work Commission’s decision on a further 10 per cent pay increase for direct care workers and for the full 25 per cent pay increase for all ‘non-direct’ care workers. We need to stay strong so that nobody is left behind!
