Dear Member,

Members working for Laverty Pathology Main Lab at Macquarie Park have contacted the HSU after being told there will be mass cost cutting and redundancies across the company due to financial constraints.

We are aware there have been redundances in at least SRA and Biochemistry Labs and other lab area are being forced to reduce services and hours by no longer operating on weekends.

This announcement has come as a surprise to many with no warning or consultation with members or the HSU.

Laverty Executives have agreed to meet with the HSU on Tuesday, 12 March.

We will be doing everything we can to support and protect members rights and entitlements.
