Your feedback needed: Remote, Rural and Regional Health

The NSW Government has formed a Select Committee on Remote, Rural and Regional Health (Terms of Reference here). The purpose of this Committee is to examine how the recommendations made in the 2022 Legislative Council (LC) committee inquiry are being carried out.

In total, 44 recommendations were made from the 2022 LC Inquiry. You can view these at this link.

This inquiry is a first step to oversee the results of the LC committee recommendations over the next two years. Dr Joe McGirr MP, Member for Wagga Wagga, said “the Committee wants to know what progress has been made by the government and NSW Health in implementing the recommendations since last year’s inquiry, and any challenges that have been experienced as part of this process”.

The Committee needs to hear from you. HSU members are strongly encouraged to provide your feedback about the provision of remote, rural and regional health services via email [E-Mail not displayed] or by clicking on this link.

Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
