Your Union is here for you: Public Health meetings

As the latest wave of COVID-19 hits and the case numbers reach concerning levels, anyone could be forgiven for feeling anxious and overwhelmed.

Public health workers are on the front line of this pandemic. Your work is vital to keep others safe and healthy.

But you also deserve to feel safe and secure, and to know that your rights are being protected. That’s where your Union comes in.

Concerned that you could be stood down or redeployed due to COVID? Are changes happening at work that you weren’t consulted about? Worried about access to PPE or safe staffing levels?

These and other questions will be dealt with at a series of HSU zoom meetings with all members throughout public health, starting next Monday 19 July. Meetings will be attended by HSU Organisers and your union leaders, Secretary Gerard Hayes and Assistant Secretary Lynne Russell.

Keep an eye out for a further newsletter and a text message advising you of times and dates.
