Cameras at Tweed AVEO

Members have recently raised concerns around security cameras installed by family members in residents’ rooms. The Health Services Union wrote to AVEO raising members’ concerns and made it clear that this surveillance cannot take place unless it is undertaken by AVEO and with the consent of employees.

AVEO has responded by pressing ahead and claim that surveillance cameras in residents’ rooms are permitted, provided employees give their consent. Further to this, AVEO has advised they will be issuing a consent form to employees in the coming days.

Members are advised to not sign. Your union does not agree with the position taken by AVEO and is continuing to fight this matter.

Please share this with your colleagues. If you have any further concerns around cameras in the building or any other workplace issue, contact your local HSU organiser Kirk Rostock at [E-Mail not displayed]
