Come to important meetings and learn more about historic HSU Aged Care Work Value Case wins!

Dear Member,

Last week the Fair Work Commission handed down an historic decision, awarding many HSU members significant pay rises of up to 28%.

This amazing outcome only came because of the campaigning and activism of HSU members around the country, who called for aged care workers to be valued.

On Monday 25 March, we will be hosting two online HSU meetings for members to get together and go through the decision in more detail. We’ll also try to answer as many questions as possible and have a discussion about the next steps.

The meetings will be held at 12pm and 6pm.

You can join the meeting online here: or join by phone by calling (02) 8015 6011 and entering Meeting ID: 851 6190 5637.

Unfortunately, not all aged care workers were awarded such significant increases through this decision, and we’ll also discuss how we can keep campaigning for change and improvements to the sector to make sure everyone’s work is valued.

If you’d like to ask a question before the meeting, please email [E-Mail not displayed] and we will try to cover your question on Monday.

This special meeting is open to HSU members only. If your colleagues are not yet HSU members, encourage them to join today so that they can join the meeting on Monday.

Encourage your workmates to join the HSU. Together you have strength in your workplace. New members can join online at or call 1300 478 679.
