BlueCare: Have your say on your new proposed enterprise agreement

Dear Member,

BlueCare will be asking all staff to vote on a new enterprise agreement. Your enterprise agreement contains your wages and conditions so it’s important you know how the agreement will affect you and that you get a say in the vote.

It’s up to you to decide if this agreement is good enough.

The enterprise agreement will only be accepted if a majority of people who cast a vote, vote ‘yes’.

BlueCare has agreed to important changes in your enterprise agreement, including:

  • Wages: Assistants in Nursing will be paid and maintained at 5% above the Nursing Award for the life of the agreement. This means for the annual wage review increases to Award rates, you receive annual increases to maintain that buffer.
  • Increase in Parental Leave from 9 weeks to 12 weeks.
  • Minimum shift for all employees increased to 3 hours.

Voting will be conducted online and will close 3pm Thursday 28 March 2024.

Before voting opens, BlueCare must provide a copy of the agreement with details on all the proposed changes. Please review this information carefully and if you have any questions, get in contact with your local HSU delegate or organiser.
