Your HSU representatives today met with both SWSLHD & HSSG employer representatives to seek further information regarding the transition from Liverpool to St Leornard’s for the OPH Service.
The correspondence was the following questions and answers:
1. When staff transition over to St Leonards, will there be the ability to work a combination of Home and Office? a. Staff will have consideration under the Remote Working and Flexible work practices to work some days at home, although this will need to be discussed on a case by case basis. Generally past arrangements allow for staff to work up to 2 days at home.
2. As all employees at Liverpool have been given priority status, should some employees not accept to transition to St Leonard’s – what provisions surrounding case management have been applied in seeking alternative work a. Should staff choose not to relocate to from Liverpool to St Leonard’s, staff will be managed under the NSW Health Policy “managing Excess staff” – staff are to contact Ms Sevgi Girgin, Workforce Manager SWSLHD as soon as possible. Ms Girgin will assist in identifying positions that are currently vacant with the SWSLHD for consideration.
3. Salary packaging and Novated leasing a. Unfortunately HSSG, does not qualify under the Austrialian Taxation Office guidelines to continue salary packaging, both SWSLHD & HSSG have committed that the current Salary Packaging arrangements will continue for the next three years under the transition from Liverpool Hospital to St Leonard’s. b. Novated lease’s are able to continue as normal into the future.
Members are encouraged to assess your options and contact Mr Josh Howarth via email firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any further concerns. The transition date for OPH Staff from Liverpool is set for 30th November 2020 with 11th December 2020 being the date to vacate SWSLHD property.
