Roving vaccination clinics across Sydney

Since the vaccination rollout began in aged care, the Health Services Union has been advocating for you and your colleagues to have the option of receiving vaccinations in your workplace.

The Department of Health has now commenced “roving” workplace clinics across metropolitan Sydney with 153 facilities to be visited over the next week.

You can check to see if a clinic will be held in your workplace at this link.

This means that if your workplace is listed you can access the Pfizer vaccination on the day listed.

If your workplace isn’t on the list but a workplace close by is holding a clinic that you would like to attend, please email [E-Mail not displayed] and we will contact the Department of Health to see if this can be arranged.

If you have any questions or would like more information, contact the HSU Member Services Division on 1300 478 679 or email [E-Mail not displayed].

While this is a positive step in supporting aged care workers, I have to express my deep disappointment that it has taken until nearly August to get this large-scale systematic approach to the aged care workforce rollout. It simply isn’t good enough and it won’t be forgotten.

Finally, I want to acknowledge the work you and your colleagues continue to do in very challenging environments. You are on the frontline and deserve the utmost thanks for the work you are doing to keep our most vulnerable safe.
