Workers at Garden Village were asked to vote on the proposed enterprise agreement and the results are in. Of those who voted, 75% have voted yes to approve the agreement.

It has been a lengthy negotiation, with HSU members standing up and taking action in support of Aged Care Workers and our claims at Garden Village. While we still maintain there are concerns and our demands weren’t met, there are a number of improvements and positive changes in the agreement.

What happens now?

The EA will now go to the Fair Work Commission to be assessed and compared to the relevant industry Awards.

We will keep members informed throughout if there are any updates in the process.
