Allity: Is Your Time Valuable?

Is your time valuable? We think so!

Members at some Allity sites have informed the HSU that they have been completing E-learning modules in their own time at home and are not being paid for their time.

Your Enterprise Agreement with Allity provides for you to be paid:

51.4  Payment for learning

(a) Where an employee is required by Allity to complete an e-!earning module outside their rostered hours of work, the employee will be paid for the length of the learning session or one hour whichever is the greater.

If you don’t have time to do E-learning in regular rostered hours, ask your manager to either:

  • roster you hours at work dedicated to completing training, or;
  • obtain permission to complete at home.

Residents should not have care hours taken from them for you to complete training. Nor should you give up your own time because your time is valuable.

If you are being pressured into completing online training, please get in contact with your local HSU organiser or the HSU Member Services Division on 1300 478 679.

Know someone who isn’t a member? If you know a workmate who is not yet a member of the HSU, encourage them to join now. New members should join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679. When we stand together, we can make sure our voices are heard at work.

In unity,

Gerard Hayes
