HSU Indigenous Development Fund

The HSU is committed to supporting the work being done by local Indigenous community groups and organisations to enhance the health and wellbeing of their communities. That’s why the HSU launched the Indigenous Development Fund.

The HSU Indigenous Development Fund was established to contribute to organisations that enable projects that benefit Indigenous communities. Through this fund, the HSU Indigenous Development Committee may enable projects to develop new and innovative ways to engage and work with communities in the following priority areas:

  • Community development
  • Wellbeing programs
  • Sporting programs
  • Elder programs
  • Literacy programs
  • Health Initiatives
  • Education Initiatives

Grant funding is between $2,000 and up to $10,000 towards the implementation of a community-based project.

Applications made to access this fund are assessed by the Indigenous Development Fund Committee which is made up of members from Indigenous backgrounds and our Assistant Secretary, Lynne Russell.
